I had high hopes for my stay at The Manor House at Celtic Manor, especially given the price tag, but the experience was mixed. While the dining options and staff interactions were great, my room left a lot to be desired. It felt quite dated and not up to the standards I expected, which was disappointing given the grandeur of the venue.

Rooms
6.0
My room was rather outdated and not as deluxe as I was led to believe. The bed was comfortable, but there were issues like a wobbly tap and a partly unusable wardrobe that really affected my stay.
Service
7.0
Most staff were friendly, and I appreciated the efficient check-in process. However, there were some lapses in customer service, especially when dealing with my room issues and dining delays.
Location
8.0
The location is super convenient, right off the M4, making it easy to get to. I enjoyed the scenic views around the hotel, but accessing the main resort facilities can be a bit of a trek.
Dining
9.0
The food here was excellent, especially breakfast and dinner options. I really enjoyed the quality of the meals, which made up for some of the other shortcomings during my stay.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel boasts great leisure activities, and the spa facilities looked amazing, though I didn't get a chance to use them. However, the lack of clear information about bookings was frustrating.

My stay at The Manor House at Celtic Manor had its ups and downs. While the spa facilities were excellent and the staff provided friendly service, I encountered significant issues with the golf and the room's condition. The dining options were generally good, but some disappointments with the pizza overshadowed my experience.

Rooms
6.0
My Manor Deluxe King Room was quiet and had a comfortable bed, but it did show signs of wear and needed updating. There were dirty marks on the carpet, and the heating wasn't working properly, which made the room chilly.
Service
6.0
Service was a mixed bag; while I found some staff friendly and accommodating, there were moments of poor communication, particularly concerning my room service order.
Location
6.0
The location of the hotel was beautiful, perched on a hillside with lovely views. However, accessing some facilities involved navigating a confusing layout with many stairs and escalators.
Dining
6.0
I enjoyed meals at the hotel's restaurants, particularly the generous portions. Unfortunately, my experience with the pizza was disappointing as it was poorly made and not worth the high price.
Facilities
6.0
The spa facilities were impressive, providing a relaxing atmosphere, and I appreciated having access to a variety of leisure activities during my stay. However, the golf courses were in poor condition, detracting from my overall experience.

I had a mixed experience at The Manor House at Celtic Manor. Check-in was efficient, and the staff were friendly, but I felt let down by the room quality and the breakfast. The location is lovely, being on a hillside, but I found some facilities a bit unwelcoming and the parking costs ridiculous.

Rooms
6.0
My room felt somewhat tired and lacked some staples like a hairdryer. While it was clean and spacious, I could hear noise from the next room, which disrupted my sleep.
Service
6.0
Most of the staff were great and really friendly, but I did experience some dismissiveness, especially during busy times at the bar. A little more training might help improve consistency.
Location
7.0
The location is beautiful with scenic views, but navigating the hotel can be a workout due to its layout. I found it a bit of a maze, with lots of lifts, stairs, and corridors to get around.
Dining
7.0
Dinner at Steak on Six was pleasant, and the food quality was generally good. However, the breakfast wasn't as hot as I expected, and I felt the buffet lacked warmth.
Facilities
7.0
The pool and spa were definitely highlights with excellent amenities. The parking fee felt unreasonable, but the range of leisure activities did offer some fun options.

I had a pleasant stay at The Manor House, where the rooms were comfortable and breakfast was fantastic. However, I found the parking fees quite excessive, especially since the hotel is located a bit far from the city. The staff were friendly, but the restaurant service could use improvement during busy times.

Rooms
6.0
The room was really nice, spacious, and recently renovated, with an excellent bathroom and comfortable beds. I did have an issue with the shower temperature, which was disappointingly cold at times.
Service
6.0
The staff were generally friendly and welcoming, but there were moments when they seemed overwhelmed, especially during busy dining periods. I had to approach the bar myself for quicker service in the Merlin bar.
Location
6.0
The location is attractive with beautiful views, but accessing different areas of the resort involved significant walking, which can be tiring. It's a bit secluded, hence the high parking fees.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was served buffet style and was delicious, with a good selection. However, I had a long wait for a snack one evening, and the service can be slow, especially when it's busy.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities at the resort are extensive, but I found the parking fees to be quite high. Additionally, the spa amenities have been praised for their quality, though I didn't personally utilize them during my stay.
